Ethan at Bier Stein
Going out to lunch is a staple of Ethan’s routine even when they just pick up take out and have lunch at home. Still, after an afternoon dealing with the bureaucracy that helps support his lifestyle, or a visit to the dentist, or for lab tests, little can beat a cold beer and a snack.
Ethan Accompanying His Music
At Ethan’s house his music is always on. When he was a teen and young adult he could name any popular artist after the first couple of notes. His personal support agent--who also provides some of his day-to-day support--worked through the weekly library visits to broaden Ethan’s tastes so that now he is as likely to opt for light classical or electronica as 90s pop or the Beatles.
Nathan With Fish
Nathan likes to fish. Like many people we support, he relies on very consistent routines so he won’t fish anywhere but the Umpqua river near Elkton and only for bass. One of his supporters tried to vary his angling routine, but to no avail. It’s the Umpqua and bass- always.
Nathan on the Job Clinical Services Building
Nathan works delivering mail to several of the education buildings on campus. He picks up the mail from the main campus mail room in his cart and heads our on a route where he delivers to faculty and staff.
Nathan at the Bakery Decorating Cookies
Once or twice a week Nathan spends time at a local bakery helping out by decorating cookies. Its not a big job and requires only a couple hours a week, but he really enjoys decorating the cookies. We don’t know if he gets to sample some of what he decorates.

Nathan likes being out and about and especially enjoys trips further afield. This was a trip to Seattle with his support person, Darin, where they took this selfie at the iconic space needle.

Nathan enjoys building things mostly using kits. This time he’s making a ship out of Lego, one of many home pursuits that appear in his weekly schedule.
